Donald Trump may soon announce a potential agreement regarding Gaza following a note from Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicating a deal was imminent. The President received the note during a gathering with far-right online figures where Rubio urged Trump to authorize a post on his Truth Social platform to be the first to reveal the deal.

Although the note did not explicitly mention the conflict in Gaza, it is believed to pertain to Hamas potentially agreeing to a peace arrangement. Trump, after receiving the note, expressed optimism, stating, “We’re very close to a deal in the Middle East.”

High-ranking officials, including the top Middle East adviser of the United States, the Prime Minister of Qatar, and other key figures, participated in peace talks between Israel and Hamas. The talks aimed to address critical issues outlined in an American plan to end the Gaza conflict.

While all parties have shown hope for reaching a resolution to end the two-year war in Gaza, certain aspects of the peace plan remain unresolved. These include demands for Hamas to disarm, the timeline and scope of an Israeli troop withdrawal from Gaza, and the establishment of an international body to oversee the region post-Hamas leadership.

Amid the progressing negotiations, President Trump hinted at a potential visit to the Middle East in the near future. His Middle East envoy, along with other officials, engaged in discussions at Sharm el-Sheikh, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the talks by involving various Palestinian groups.

Negotiators made strides in agreeing on the release of prisoners and ensuring Israel’s commitment to refrain from military actions post-hostage release. The ongoing efforts aim to secure a comprehensive deal within the week, with President Trump expected to declare an end to the conflict upon finalizing the agreement.

Progress made in the recent talks indicates a possible deal in the upcoming days, as disclosed by officials from Arab nations speaking on anonymity due to non-authorization for media statements.
