Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating problem with the popular ITVX app. Complaints started surfacing last week as users reported being abruptly taken to the end of programs without warning, even when not fast-forwarding.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky mentioned, “ITV Player keeps skipping ahead, usually to the end of the episode, making it quite challenging. This has been ongoing for the past few days.” Another user, Dawn, also shared her experience of shows randomly jumping to the end, typically occurring at the program’s start or after ad breaks.

The issue seems to primarily impact users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q is affected, most complaints are from those using broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.

Although the cause of the problem remains unknown, a Sky employee named Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that they are collaborating with ITV to address it. Kev mentioned in a post, “We understand the frustration and have escalated the matter to our support teams. Rest assured, we are working on a solution and will provide updates as soon as possible.”

While users may have to endure the skipping problem for now, efforts are underway to resolve it soon. Mirror Online will keep readers informed with any developments on this matter.
