Jamie Oliver has let all Great British Bake Off fans into his little secret – sharing a delectable lemon tart recipe that’s as easy as pie to whip up at home. The celebrity chef spoke highly of this classic dessert, saying: “Many wonderful desserts in the Mediterranean celebrate the bounty of citrus.
“I’ve embellished this lemon tart by rolling and flavouring pasty to create amazing texture, as the Portuguese and French do so well.” Jamie also assures us that this delightful dish can be conjured up in half an hour, making it perfect for a lazy weekend treat or wowing your guests without breaking a sweat.
Whether paired with a cuppa in the afternoon or a glass of wine, this summertime special is bound to please as we embrace the warmer months.

Jamie has made crafting this sweet temptation a breeze – kick things off by heating your oven to 190C and follow the steps for a tangy triumph.
While your pastry is baking, zest the remaining lemons into a large bowl and squeeze in the juice (around 120ml). Next, whisk in the icing sugar and eggs.
Place this bowl over a pot of simmering water on medium heat. Keep whisking for about 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens up, reports the Express.
Once the pastry is cooked, pour this lemony mix into the mature case, then pop it under a hot grill in the oven for a few moments.
Remove from the oven and let it cool down for a bit. Serve at room temperature with a scattering of fresh raspberries on top and voila, your scrumptious tart is ready to be devoured.
