The conclusion of the Labour conference was celebrated with The Mirror’s renowned party, where Cabinet members, MPs, political personnel, and journalists relaxed after a hectic period in Liverpool.

The festivities commenced with a touching moment as Justice minister Alex Davies-Jones delivered a moving rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone, accompanied by Hillsborough advocates.

Margaret Aspinall, who tragically lost her son James in the Hillsborough disaster, delivered a compelling speech urging the swift passing of a new law to prevent cover-ups.

Later in the evening, karaoke sessions featured Cabinet members Wes Streeting and Lisa Nandy performing Oasis’ Don’t Look Back in Anger enthusiastically. Mr. Streeting also took the stage to sing Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.

The event was a night to remember, with Health Secretary Wes Streeting, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, and former shadow minister Jonathan Ashworth donning eye-catching sequinned attire for a lively rendition of Oasis’ Don’t Look Back in Anger.

Housing Secretary Steve Reed, sporting a ‘Build, Baby, Build’ cap reminiscent of Trump, entertained the crowd with Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden were seen enjoying themselves at The Mirror’s party.

Editor Caroline Waterston welcomed guests to the iconic annual Mirror party held after the Prime Minister’s keynote speech, in collaboration with InHouse Communications and drinks sponsored by Diageo.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by appearances of The Mirror’s iconic chicken and performances, including Sophie Huskisson’s rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody and Mikey Smith’s rendition of Green Day’s American Idiot.

Guests, including FT’s Jim Pickard and Sky News’ Beth Rigby, reveled in the celebrations, with Jonathan Ashworth, a former shadow minister, basking in the lively ambiance after his energetic stage performance in a dazzling gold sequinned blazer.
