Hyperoptic has joined other broadband providers in announcing a larger mid-contract price increase. Customers of the internet supplier will experience a £4 monthly bill hike starting April 2026, compared to the previous £3 rise. This adjustment applies to both new and existing customers across all Hyperoptic broadband plans. Despite previous statements against annual price increments, Hyperoptic joins several telecom giants in implementing significant increases recently.

In 2023, policy director James Fredrikson had stated that Hyperoptic avoids mid-contract price rises, emphasizing transparency in pricing throughout the contract duration.

Sky Mobile has disclosed a £1.50 per month increase for most customers effective February 14, 2026, marking the first price adjustment for in-contract customers in over seven years. O2 announced a £2.50 monthly rise for nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract customers from April 2026, surpassing the originally planned increase of £1.80 per month.

Three mobile customers opting for data plans of 4GB or less will face a £1.80 monthly increase from April 2026, an 80p raise from the current £1 increment. Those with plans between 4GB and 100GB will see a £1.90 rise, while customers exceeding 100GB will experience a £2.30 hike.

Three broadband subscribers will witness a £3.50 monthly increase from April 2026. Vodafone mobile customers, signing up after November 12, will encounter a £2.50 or £1.50 (Basics SIM plans) monthly rise. Vodafone broadband users will face a £3.50 hike. Existing Vodafone or Three customers will see their agreed-upon pricing adjustments.

If you are not under contract, it is advisable to compare prices online to potentially reduce your mobile and broadband expenses. Assess your current usage to avoid paying for unused allowances. Consider switching providers or negotiating with your current one for better deals. Additionally, if you receive benefits, inquire about eligibility for discounted social tariffs.
