Amazon is rolling out a major update for Fire TV devices this month, promising a revamped experience that is sleeker, quicker, and better organized. The update aims to simplify content discovery for users by introducing new categories for movies, TV shows, news, live content, and sports from various services. Additionally, users can now pin their favorite apps to the home screen and access a user-friendly menu system. A new Shortcut Panel can be instantly accessed by pressing and holding the Home button without interrupting video playback.
The update also brings a performance enhancement of up to 30% without any additional cost. With the upcoming summer football season, Fire TV users will have access to a dedicated football hub to stay informed about match schedules and live games on local providers.
The redesigned Fire TV experience is currently available for Fire TV Stick HD (newest model) and Amazon Ember Artline devices, with plans to extend the update to other models like the Fire TV Stick 4K Max soon. Amazon assures users that the update will automatically reach their devices in the coming weeks if not received yet, encouraging users to wait patiently for the rollout.
