A Celebrity Big Brother star has issued a tearful plea to show bosses just days after Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke was booted out of the house. Despite the show airing for just over a week, two celebrities have already left the house – with one being evicted by the public and Mickey being axed by bosses.
But the first evictee, Sir Michael Fabricant is hoping that he will be able to find a way to return to the show due to Mickey’s exit. The actor was asked to leave due to his aggressive and threatening behaviour as well as derogatory comments made to female members of the house.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, former Conservative MP Sir Michael said: “Missing Danny, Jack, Donna, JoJo and nearly all of the others,” alongside a crying emoji. He added: “I want to go back in!! #CBBUK.” Sir Michael’s post certainly seemed to go down well with fans of the show, with one writing: “You were great entertainment Michael! Hope you had a great time.”
“I wonder if they’ll make history and put you back in to replace Mickey?” asked a second. Meanwhile a third tweeted: “Shame you can’t, especially in light that Mickey has now left.” Another asked: “I want you to go back in too Michael!! I was gutted when you left Friday. You were great in the house one of the main characters and could see you were so genuine. Can’t BB put you back in now another member has left unexpectedly?”
Following Mickey’s exit which aired on Sunday night, Sir Michael has shared his views on the incidents. Speaking on This Morning, Michael said: “He was always on another planet. He told me on Monday that he was going to be out on Thursday. Jack said to him, ‘Was that in your contract?’ He said, ‘Hey man, I never read no contract. It’s what my agent told me.'”
When asked how Michael felt about Mickey’s inappropriate behaviour that resulted in him leaving the CBB house, he said: “He was obviously on another planet. He seemed to get where the diary room was and he thought we were talking about a dining room.”
His exit was determined after he appeared to be aggressive and threatening towards former Love Island star, Chris Hughes. During a task, Chris appeared to be looking at Mickey after chat show host Trisha Goddard joked there was a “rat” in the group – with Mickey taking offence.
The Oscar nominee became aggressive, telling Chris: “Don’t eyeball me. Don’t f***ing eyeball me. You c***. No, your a** will be right there in a second,” as he pointed to the ground. After Danny Beard split the pair up, Big Brother called Mickey into the diary room to tell him that he would be removed from the house.
Apologising, Mickey said: “I did wrong. I apologise. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. ‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry.
“I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I’m sorry about that.” During the same episode, Ella Rae Wise was left in tears after Mickey made a sexualised comment towards her. After Ella asked him to come with her, Mickey said: “Come in you?” Patsy Palmer then said: “That’s what happens, I’m just starting to be his mate and something slips out.”
After being called to the diary room, Ella told Big Brother in tears: “It makes me feel on edge. I don’t like the jokes. I don’t like the sexualised jokes made about me. I’m a young girl. I’m not a piece of meat. He’s making people feel uneasy.”
