Mo Salah’s net worth, wife, new Liverpool contract and house that ‘looks like hospital’

Must read

Few footballers globally can match the prowess of Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool forward has been on fire this season, scoring goals left and right and almost single-handedly firing the Reds towards what looks set to be their second Premier League crown.

On Friday, months of tension and anguish were brought to a close after the Egyptian King signed a new two-year contract at Anfield. His deal was set to expire in the summer, and given that negotiations had been stalled for so long, a departure looked likely.

But now, Liverpool fans can rest easy, as can Arne Slot, who’s watched Salah play a part in just under half of his side’s goals this season. Here, Mirror Football breaks down everything you need to know about the 32-year-old, including his family life, stunning home and colossal net worth.

Following months of speculation, Salah has finally signed on the dotted line to extend his stay on Merseyside for another two years. The deal is reportedly worth £350,000 per week, which means he’s remained one of the highest-paid players in the division.

The Reds broke club policy to get the deal over the line, with Fenway Sports Group typically reluctant to hand out multi-year contracts to players over 30. The agreement means Salah’s eight-year stay will likely extend to a decade.

“Of course, I’m very excited,” Salah told Liverpool’s official website. “We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.

“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.

“I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.”

Salah’s financial success mirrors his on-field achievements. According to Celebrity Net Worth, his net worth stands at £68m. His income stems from his lucrative Liverpool contracts – which have seen him earn at least £18m per year since 2022 and roughly £10m per year since 2018.

He also has several endorsement deals with global brands, including Adidas, Pepsi, Vodafone, and Audi. It’s also understood that when image rights and commercial activities are taken into account, Salah can earn a further £1m per week.

Salah’s personal life is anchored by his wife, Magi Salah, whom he married in 2013. The couple, who met in their hometown of Nagrig, Egypt, share a deep bond rooted in their shared upbringing.

Magi prefers a low-profile existence, rarely appearing in the spotlight. “Magi tends to keep herself to herself and away from social media, but has been spotted at Anfield supporting her husband,” observers have noted.

Together, they have two daughters, Makka, born in 2014, and Kayan, born in 2020. Salah’s devotion to his family is evident, often sharing heartfelt moments with his children on social media.

As evidenced by his sculpted physique, Salah has devoted everything to his football career. Despite being 32 and entering the twilight of his career, the former Chelsea man boasts the fitness, speed and physique of individuals several years younger.

To maintain this level of fitness, Salah has had to forego the aesthetics of certain parts of his home. In an interview with France Football, Salah revealed the areas of his home he has dedicated to his personal fitness.

“Two rooms in our house are dedicated to different fitness machines, bodybuilding,” he explained. “At home I can also do cryotherapy, there is a hyperbaric chamber.

“I am constantly looking to improve my physical condition. It’s true that I like to say that my house looks like a hospital, [but] my wife doesn’t like that! [She] says that I spend more time with my machines than with her!”
