Celebrity Big Brother’s Jack P Shepherd branded ‘ridiculous’ over ‘wasted’ nominations

Must read

Celebrity Big Brother fans have hit out at Jack P Shepherd for wasting his nomination ahead of the first eviction. The Coronation Street star, 37, has swapped the cobbles for the Big Brother house but has largely gone under the radar.

Fans complained they were not seeing much of the David Platt actor compared to his fellow housemates. He has rarely joined in conversations in scenes aired on the series so far and hasn’t had much air time.

It seems his co-stars have also picked up on Jack taking a step back from the spotlight, as he received multiple nominations himself – meaning he is up for eviction. Jack was picked out by some housemates for not joining in or seeming disinterested in them.

However, things took a turn when Jack was called to the Diary Room to share his own nominations ahead of the first eviction on Friday night. Mickey Rourke is already facing an exit thanks to JoJo Siwa, while Chris Hughes and Daley Thompson received an exemption.

Jack revealed he was voting for RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Danny Beard because he “walked into one of his farts”. He also chose to nominate comedian and actress Donna Preston due to her being loud.

Viewers were baffled by Jack’s decision as they slammed him for picking unserious reasons. One said: “Everyone having a valid reason to nominate someone and then there’s jack nominating danny because he walked into his fart???”

Another added: “How is Jack nominating Danny for farting a valid reason for nomination, genuine question.” Someone else commented: “Jack’s reasons for nominating donna and danny are so stupid, especially his reason for nominating donna.”

A fourth asked: “Did Jack pluck his reasons out of thin air??,” another shared: “The fact that jack got away with using that as an excuse for a nom!!!”

Jack’s housemate Mickey shocked viewers on Monday night when he made a very uncomfortable entrance into the ITV house. The Hollywood actor appeared to grab onto host AJ Odudu, who told him: “Stop looking at me.”

While in the house, Mickey has been hit with a formal warning from show bosses after making a vile homophobic remark to JoJo Siwa. Many viewers branded his warning not strong enough and urged for him to be kicked off the show.

JoJo was able to get her ultimate revenge, however, as she put Mickey up for eviction. The first eviction of the series will take place on Friday, as Mickey’s fate now lands with the public.

Former Dance Moms star JoJo was left in tears by Mickey’s comment towards her during Wednesday’s episode. In the shocking moment, Mickey asked JoJo: “Do you like girls or boys?” After revealing that her partner is non-binary, Mickey responded: “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.”

He later asked Chris Hughes if everyone has to vote one another out of the house. Mickey said: “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.” JoJo, who overhears, tells him: “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning,” while Chris tells Mickey he can’t say that.

After asking JoJo where the smoking area is, Mickey exclaimed: “I need a fag.” He then gestures to JoJo and said: “I’m not talking to you.” The moment left JoJo in tears, while Chris comforted her. Shortly after the remark, Mickey was called to the Diary Room by Big Brother, and given a stern warning.
