A woman was caught dragging her boyfriend‘s corpse into a grassy area after cutting off his penis and stabbing him to death for allegedly raping her 12-year-old daughter.
Erica Pereira da Silveira, 43, then burned the corpse of Everton Amaro da Silva, 47, at the shrubland in Minas Gerais, Brazil, on April 11. Horrified neighbours who caught her in the act called police who raced to the area and found the victim’s corpse still burning amongst the bushes. They followed a gruesome trail of blood back to the apartment of Pereira da Silveira – who immediately confessed to her crimes – and even showed police the knife she had used to mutilate him after she had doped him. She said she saw red when she came home and found Amaro da Silva in bed with her underage daughter.
Chief police investigator Franz Cesarino told local media: “He had been in the house, in the room with the suspect’s daughter in a situation that appeared to be rape. It’s hard to tell exactly what happened because they were all either high on drugs or alcohol. The victim’s body has been sent to the institute of forensic medicine for examination.”
After arresting Pereira da Silveira police seized a knife, wooden club, an iron bar and her mobile phone. Prosecutors have charged her with qualified homicide, because her victim was killed while he was drugged and helpless.
Police are also hunting a 17-year-old boy who who is believed to have helped Pereira da Silveira dispose of her boyfriend’s body.
Last month, a woman who confessed to killing a man and chopping his penis off was accused of making the organ into a soup. Josefa Lima de Sousa, 65, from Brazil, was arrested after a homeless man, identified as Celso Marques Ferreira, was stabbed to death in Peruíbe on the coast of São Paulo. A knife was located at the scene.
According to local media, police are investigating whether Sousa handed out the soup to other homeless people in the area.
She is thought to have cooked his penis and part of his heart after killing him and then offering multiple people the dish on the streets. Homeless people told the Civil Police that they ate the food on the same day of the crime.
Ferreira was found lifeless with stab injuries to the ribs, neck and private parts. Next to his body there was a sign accusing him of sex crimes. Sousa, who is also homeless, told officers that she killed him with “the power of her mind” before she ate some of his organs.
She also told cops that Celso sexually assaulted children. According to publication G1, the homeless people who reported their concerns to the police were unaware of the contents of the soup at the time.
The police are yet to confirm whether the organs were used as ingredients in the soup. Officers arrested Sousa alongside her partner, Robson Aparecido de Oliveira, 41, on March 7.
Authorities confirmed there was enough evidence to show that Sousa carried out the crime.
