Organizers claimed a turnout of 500,000 individuals, marking it as the largest anti-Far Right demonstration in the UK’s history.
Banners displayed messages from various regions like ‘Chesterfield Dump Trump’, ‘Cornwall against Fascism’, ‘Nottingham Fights Back’, ‘St Albans Together’. The march also featured groups such as the ‘Red Rebels’ and the ‘Singing Resistance’, adding diverse elements to the event. The atmosphere was filled with chants of unity and love, emphasizing the power of togetherness in the face of adversity.
The demonstration progressed through London, passing iconic landmarks and resonating with songs of solidarity. The spirit of resistance transcended borders as similar protests unfolded in the United States. Despite the presence of police helicopters and the drumming of Extinction Rebellion, the march continued peacefully, embodying a message of hope and defiance against common threats of division and hatred.
