Reports indicate that MAFS UK is adjusting its schedule in anticipation of the upcoming show, Celebrity Traitors, causing concern among fans that the show might undergo changes due to watershed regulations.

The latest season of MAFS premiered on Sunday, September 21, featuring 18 individuals tying the knot without prior acquaintance. Notably, this season includes two same-sex couples, marking a significant milestone.

Typically airing at 9 pm, MAFS is expected to maintain this time slot until the premiere of Celebrity Traitors on October 8. Following this, the show is slated to shift to an earlier time of 8 pm, raising worries among viewers about potential edits complying with watershed rules.

According to a post by Super TV on Twitter, “Married at First Sight UK will air at 8 pm on E4 from October 8th – on Wed/Thu – to avoid clashing with Celebrity Traitors. #MAFSUK.”

Responding to the changes, one viewer questioned if swearing would be censored, while another expressed concerns about potential content alterations before the watershed.

The Mirror has reached out to E4 for comments.

Leading MAFS experts, Melanie Schilling, Charlene Douglas, and Paul C Brunson, have shared insights on the series revival, emphasizing their role in guiding the singles through their journey. Paul highlighted the diverse representation in the current cast, reflecting a broad spectrum of the UK.

Paul stated, “It’s crucial, especially in today’s environment where we perceive a cultural divide. We’ve selected individuals from various regions of the UK, living together to navigate their differences, though not always resolving them.”

Anticipating an unforgettable reunion, Paul added, “I genuinely believe that this year’s MAFS reunion will be the most memorable in the show’s history.”

While MAFS fans are delighted by the show’s return, they are also eagerly awaiting the upcoming season of Celebrity Traitors, featuring prominent figures vying for charity funds inside a Scottish castle.

The celebrity roster includes Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, Daivd Olusoga, Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson, Jonathan Ross, Kate Garraway, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Paloma Faith, Ruth Codd, Stephen Fry, Tameka Empson, and Tom Daley. These celebrities will compete for a charity prize of up to £100,000, with the show airing every Wednesday and Thursday starting October 8.
