Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor recently disclosed that his rival Andrew Tate had insisted on including a weight clause in their upcoming showdown. Tate, aged 39, is transitioning to professional boxing with a debut scheduled for December 20 against DeMoor, a former kickboxing champion who now reigns as the heavyweight king.

The two fighters engaged in a tense press conference in Dubai, where DeMoor had to wait for Tate to make a grand entrance by arriving on a boat with his entourage. DeMoor seized the opportunity to call out Tate for imposing a 40lb weight clause, claiming it was against his wishes. This revelation sparked a fiery exchange between the rivals, with Tate expressing surprise at the weight limit in a boxing match.

The official weight limit for the Tate-DeMoor fight is yet to be confirmed, but it follows similar protocols to the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua bout. Joshua, a former heavyweight champion, faces restrictions on his weight for the fight, ensuring he does not exceed 245lb. In contrast, Tate, who usually fought at light-heavyweight in kickboxing, is embracing a new challenge by moving up in weight class.

The highly anticipated showdown between Tate and DeMoor is set for December 20 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. Fans can catch all the action live on Rumble Premium for £7.48 ($9.99) per month. The event’s main card is expected to start around 6pm UK time, with the main event likely to kick off at 10pm UK time.
