Fresh concerns about the health of Donald Trump have emerged following his absence during a recent CNN interview. Viewers were surprised to find that Trump, aged 79, did not appear on camera during the interview with Jake Tapper, instead opting to send his responses via text before the show began.

During the interview, graphics displayed Trump’s messages addressing his peace ambitions in the Gaza-Israel conflict and his stern stance on dealing with Hamas if they do not cooperate. In response to a question about the government shutdown, Trump expressed confidence in the current situation, stating, “We are winning and cutting costs, big time!” The TV network has not disclosed how they authenticated Trump as the sender of the texts.

Viewers took to Twitter to express confusion and speculate about Trump’s well-being, with some calling for a wellness check to be conducted. Criticism was also directed at the unconventional interview method, with American politician Daniel Goldman questioning the use of text messages for such a significant exchange.

Despite passing his recent medical examination and being deemed fit for duty, Trump has faced health issues since taking office, including chronic venous insufficiency, swollen ankles, bruising on his hand, and a drooping mouth. The concerns raised during the interview have fueled further speculation about the president’s health and fitness for office.
