RCMP in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, have arrested a man on three firearm-related charges following reports of gunshots in the area over the weekend. According to a press release issued on Thursday, RCMP received a call on August 9 around 8:30 a.m. reporting a gunshot and a man carrying a gun inside a residence near 68th Street. Law enforcement officers responded promptly and took the man into custody later that morning. The individual has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, improper storage of a loaded firearm, and negligent use of a firearm. His upcoming court appearance is scheduled for August 17.
