The shift to streaming entertainment through devices like Fire TV Sticks has become widespread, with many households embracing this trend. However, it is crucial to note that not all methods of accessing shows, movies, and sports content are legal.

For those seeking a legitimate way to enjoy online content without the risks associated with unauthorized streaming devices, a new option has emerged. eBay now offers the PLEIO, a compact device powered by Freely that provides access to over 50 live channels at no cost.

In addition to live TV, Freely offers a variety of on-demand content and features such as a personalized TV guide, recommendations, and the ability to pause or rewind live programs. The PLEIO box also includes access to more than 250 games through the PLEIO Extra platform, complete with a controller and a complimentary 12-month subscription to PLEIO Extra.

Key features of the PLEIO box include support for 4K streaming and a voice-controlled remote. Priced at £99, the PLEIO box is available on both eBay and Amazon.

While the PLEIO may resemble Sky’s Stream box in functionality, the primary distinction lies in the content variety. While Freely offers free channels, it does not include the premium lineup available through Sky, which includes options like Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max for additional fees starting at £15 per month.

For households seeking a cost-effective solution for free TV content over broadband, the PLEIO and Freely combo could be an attractive choice. Those prioritizing live sports, movies, and premium entertainment may find Sky Stream to be a more suitable option.
