Cheryl Fergison, a well-known figure from the TV show EastEnders where she portrayed the beloved character Heather Trott, has provided an update on her health following a serious stroke she experienced in May.

The 60-year-old actress shared her health status on Instagram, revealing that she can now walk a certain distance before feeling exhausted. She recounted a heartwarming interaction with a lady at her local store.

During the exchange, Cheryl mentioned her ability to walk with the help of a stick post-stroke, expressing gratitude for the progress she has made. She then narrated an encounter with a woman at the Premier shop who had read her book and praised her life experiences.

The woman suggested turning Cheryl’s story into a series or film, prompting Cheryl to express enthusiasm for the idea and suggesting it could be a fantastic project to pursue.

This update comes after Cheryl’s stroke earlier in the year, which was triggered by a severe headache. Describing the onset of her symptoms, Cheryl explained feeling unwell with a persistent headache and experiencing numbness and loss of balance on one side of her body.

Following a quick response from her son, who recognized the signs of a stroke, Cheryl was swiftly taken to a hospital in Blackpool where doctors confirmed the stroke. Despite facing challenges like difficulty walking and coordination issues, Cheryl remains optimistic about her recovery journey.

She emphasized the need for brain retraining to regain basic functions and expressed frustrations over the limitations caused by the stroke. However, she highlighted her progress and positive outlook on her improving condition.
