Anthony Joshua was traveling in a black Lexus Jeep at the time of the collision, which involved a stationary lorry on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. The Federal Road Safety Corps of Nigeria reported that the incident involved two vehicles, with two fatalities, one injury, and two individuals escaping unharmed. Preliminary investigations suggest that the speeding Lexus Jeep lost control during an overtaking maneuver and collided with the parked truck alongside the road.
