JoJo Siwa’s partner, Kath Ebbs, looked downcast as they were pictured throwing out cardboard boxes outside their Sydney home. It marked the TikTok star’s first appearance since new footage of JoJo and Celebrity Big Brother co-star Chris Hughes being affectionate was released.
In the clips from the Big Brother house, Chris, 32, was seen lying on the 21-year-old’s chest in bed before they pulled the blanket over their heads. Another moment showed JoJo guiding Chris with a dance in the garden. A distracted Chris intensely looked at her before telling her: “God, you look good today. I think it’s my favourite colour on you.”
Meanwhile, Kath was across the globe, ripping up cardboard boxes outside their home. The 27-year-old was wearing wireless earphones as they blocked out outside noise in new snaps shared online.
Kath, who is non-binary and uses she/they pronouns, seemed downcast as they completed their errands outside the house. They wore a black vest and tied their blond hair in a messy bun while focusing on the task at hand.
The star has kept silent on JoJo and Chris’ close relationship despite receiving a lot of messages from concerned fans and cruel trolls about it. Many have asked them to share their thoughts on the friendship.
They haven’t discussed the ITV programme since praising their girlfriend’s handling of the situation with Mickey Rourke – which saw him using homophobic slurs towards JoJo.
Not only did he say he would ‘tie her up’ and ‘turn JoJo straight’, he also said he “wasn’t talking about you” after saying he “needed a fag” as he looked for the smoking area.
Along with a video of JoJo and Mickey talking it out, Kath wrote: “This is why I adore this human with all my heart. She is genuinely one of the most empathic, kind and patient people I ever met.
“Not every can offer grace in the face of bigotry, justifiably so. But for those that have the capacity to hold space through hate and dig into the depths of humanity (doesn’t mean you can’t have boundaries) offer an incredible gift to the world.”
In a recent episode, JoJo and Chris got in trouble early in the day after they were caught exchanging secret messages, with the Dance Moms alum writing on Chris’ hand while the others were asleep.
“At 1:59am in the bedroom, JoJo wrote messages on Chris’ hand in secret. Chris gave JoJo his hand and said, ‘you can write it out’. JoJo then wrote on Chris’ hand and said ‘It makes sense, think about it,'” Big Brother reported to the whole house before dolling out punishment to the pair.
JoJo revealed in the Diary Room their conversation was about gender but added she wasn’t sure it was something she was ready to discuss yet.
