Celebrity Big Brother icon Chantelle Houghton has claimed one current star in the CBB house was the ‘rudest person they’ve ever met’. The TV personality and model participated in the ITV programme, then Channel 4, in 2006 and won. Michael Barrymore was the runner-up and rapper Maggot came in third place.
Chantelle – a non-celebrity sent into the CBB house to fool her housemates – recently gave her two pence on the current celebrities on the latest series of the programme, revealing she once bumped into Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd – known for his role as David Platt.
However, he didn’t leave a great impression on her as she branded him the “rudest person I’ve ever met in this entire industry”.
She explained to Daily Star, in collaboration with WDW Bingo: “So I had an experience with him many, many years ago. And if he is that person who I met years ago, he should not be going into that Big Brother house, because he is going to out himself to the public.
Chantelle revealed she was going on a TV show and was sitting in the green room with Ricky Tomlinson and Jason Donovan. “Jack P Shepherd walked in, and he was the rudest person I’ve ever met in this entire industry. And I feel like I’ve met a lot of people,” she continued.
The model went on to explain she met a lot of ‘real hard’ celebrities but he was “just so rude”. According to the TV star, Jason also “couldn’t believe it”.
Jack’s co-stars previously had to jump to his defence after he was one of the stars up for the first eviction – which saw Michael Fabricant being evicted from the house.
He survived the public vote and his co-stars rushed to social media to share their love for him. Former Tory MP Michael said: “Reading some bad things about Jack. #CBBUK He is NOT boring. Far from it.
“He is thoughtful and quiet. And talking to him, one to one, he is full of interesting stories and analyses – as are many of the others. But he laughs at all my jokes. (Which is a BIG plus).”
Corrie’s Tina O’Brien, who plays Jack’s on-screen sister Sarah Platt, shared a snap of the pair on her Instagram Story and said: “Vote to save @jackpshepherd88 @celebbigbrother. I love him to bits, not that I’d ever tell him that. Vote for Jack!”
Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Corrie’s Jenny Connor, wrote: “That’s Jack. The real Jack. He’s ace. Nothing bugs him x #CBBUK.” She later added: “Jacky P’s gorgeous cheeky grin x #cbbuk.”
