Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans and his girlfriend jetted off to Dubai for a sunny break after the Go Compare star received fresh backlash for antics while taking part in Strictly. The 53-year-old was removed from the Strictly tour after it was revealed he made an inappropriate joke about “spit-roasting” Janette Manrara at the launch show in Birmingham.
During his time on the show, he was also accused of being inappropriate with his dance partner, Katya Jones, who leapt to Wynne’s defence and insisted that nothing inappropriate happened. And in recent days Wynne became embroiled in another scandal with Jamie Borthwick involving a sex toy which was gifted to the actor as a joke.
A video of the stunt between the pair, which involved a sex toy, has recently been unearthed after BBC bosses reportedly warned the pair over the clip. The offensive footage is said to have been shared in the Strictly WhatsApp group among the celebrity contestants from the series.
A source said: “As soon as BBC executives were made aware of this shocking and immature footage being shared they formally addressed the issue and reminded the pair they had to act professionally.”
The clip is thought to have been filmed just two days after Wynne was recorded making a vile sexual comment to Jamie about pro dancer Janette Manrara.
Following the sex joke backlash, the Welsh opera singer has spotted arriving at Heathrow Airport on Friday morning with his partner Liz Brookes, as the pair jet off on a romantic trip to Dubai.
He opted for a comfy look in a navy t-shirt, unzipped grey hoodie and blue jeans. Meanwhile, Liz was Spring ready in a patterned skirt, black t-shirt and a denim jacket. The two were deep in conversation as they made their way through the terminal.

The pair carried matching blue suitcases along the terminal before dropping their baggage off at the First Class section of the check-in desk. Wynne kept a low profile and appeared slightly downbeat following the new claims made about his behaviour while on Strictly.
An insider said: “Wynne’s had a lot on his plate lately this holiday couldn’t come soon enough. He’s keeping tight-lipped about the BBC situation, but it’s clear there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.”
It comes as reports claim he is reportedly planning to take action and seek “recompense” due to the dire consequences of his ongoing scandal.
His situation reportedly got even worse last months amid reports he’s lost his lucrative advert deal with GoCompare that he has held since 2009.
The star has a few people supporting him, with his Strictly professional partner Katya Jones describing him as “incredible” in a new interview.
Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, she said: “I can only obviously speak from my personal experience, but I thought Wynne was incredible. We spent a huge amount of time together and we had a brilliant partnership. We got on like a house on fire.”
She went on to say: “Wynne has never made me feel uncomfortable in any way. We’ve had the most incredible time together, which no one can take away from us.”
