Xbox Game Pass is getting a lot bigger with a new major drop featuring another incredibly recent Call of Duty title.
Xbox Game Pass is in a position to really impress right now. After all, it has suffered losses that some have been able to completely miss and others to latch onto and refuse to let go of, like the initial loss of two Yakuza games that eventually spilt into a mass Yakuza Xbox Game Pass exodus, practically leaving the tap on overnight and flooding the service with a reminder that the entire Like A Dragon series is now absent from the service.
But, there are silver linings everywhere if you know where to look, and it seems as though there are some big wins awaiting users, like the return of GTA 5 to Xbox Game Pass getting a reveal recently and practically initiating another GTA takeover of the service. There’s more yet to come, though, as after April 2025’s first Xbox Game Pass drop delivered Borderlands 3 and a day-one drop on the Blue Prince release date, there’s another major drop of games waiting for players this month. Here’s what you need to know about Xbox Game Pass April 2025 drop two.
Microsoft has taken to the Xbox Wire blog to reveal the next bout of games coming to players across all tiers of Xbox Game Pass. Here’s everything coming to Xbox Game Pass April 2025 drop two:
It’s a pretty huge drop to be offering to players over the next month, with a modern return to Call of Duty in tow that could indicate that the franchise could be throwing in the towel and finally sprawling out across the service. It’s great news that the day-one release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 isn’t too far off either.
Sadly there will of course be a few losses with this major drop, but thankfully, most genres that are departing the service this month have been heartily replaced. Here are all of the games leaving Xbox Game Pass on Wednesday, April 30:
It’s up to you to decide if this month’s losses are made up for by its major additions, but for our money, the arrival of Modern Warfare 2 and its implications are more than enough to keep us happy. Xbox Game Pass just kicked into gear, and it could be the first sign of some major successes in the future.
