Hollywood star Mickey Rourke has been axed from the Celebrity Big Brother house less than a week into the latest series. The 72-year-old actor had already been warned over his behaviour just days into his appearance. However, bosses have now revealed he has agreed to leave the ITV show following a string of offensive comments made towards the housemates.
An ITV spokesperson said on Saturday: “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”
However, previous comments seemingly showed the star had hinted he wasn’t going to last long in the famous household. It came as The Wrestler actor asked JoJo Siwa about her sexuality.
He then made a number of cruel digs towards the Karma singer, 21. After Mickey was called out by JoJo and Chris Hughes, he was called into the Diary Room and given a stern warning.
In the shocking moment, Mickey asked JoJo: “Do you like girls or boys?” JoJo then revealed her partner is non-binary. It leading to Mickey responding: “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.”
Later on, Mickey asked Chris if everyone has to vote one another out of the house. Mickey says “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.”
Fans were quick to call out Mickey’s vile comments on social media. One Twitter/X one user predicted: “within 6 days Mickey Rourke is thrown out of #CBBUK for inappropriate behaviour towards a woman.”
As well as his comments towards JoJo, Mickey was called out for “fat-shaming” fellow contestant Donna Preston. He was seen in conversation with comedian Donna while she wore an LED face mask. While lying on his bed, Mickey asked if she had been seeing any results.
Donna admitted she had only been using the mask for a few months, leading to Mickey saying: “You’d probably be better off running round the block for ten minutes.” Donna responded: “I’ve got to try something. I’m getting a little turkey neck,” before Mickey added: “It comes with the territory.”
Donna appeared confused as she asked him: “What, life?” “Yeah,” Mikey replied, before continuing: “It’s like they say, you are what you eat.” The conversation left Donna looking visibly shocked before Patsy Palmer tried to clear things up saying she knows the comedian eats “really healthy”. After Donna agreed with the EastEnders actress, she later shared her dismay to fellow housemates Danny Beard and Ella Rae Wise.

Mickey’s actions had left fans convinced he had been playing a game. A day before his exit, fans thought he was ready to quit at the first eviction point.
Despite surviving the vote, fans thought Mickey was ready to walk. One X user wrote: “He seemed pretty adamant this was a 4 day job — and it wouldn’t be the first time he completed a short contract then self-eliminated.”
They added a clip of Mickey’s stint on the Masked Singer, where he decided to take off his mask after his very first performance despite not being told to do the grand reveal.
