Oasis Live 25 tour: Setlist to resale tickets – everything we know so far

Must read

There are now less than 100 days to go before brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher take to the stage for the first time in 16 years as the Oasis Live 25 reunion tour gets underway. All 17 UK dates sold out on the day of release with an extra two dates added to meet the incredible demand.

Competition was fierce after the Mancunian brothers revealed they had put their years long feud behind them to hit the road with their incredible back catalogue once again. The band had called it quits in 2009 following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

Noel walked out after being hit over the head with a guitar by his younger sibling in a row that sparked the pair to stop speaking altogether and go on to follow solo projects.

Oasis were formed in Manchester in 1991 -with the original line-up includingLiam and Noel Gallagher, guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, bassist Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and drummer Tony McCarroll. As anticipation for the comeback tour builds, sales and streams of the bands back catalogue have soared.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the first date in Cardiff…

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are currently organising the rest of the band, and are leaning heavily on performers who used to play in Oasis down the years.

Many of the band still play alongside Noel or Liam onstage making it less difficult. Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs is a founding member of Oasis and close friends with Liam and Noel, credited with trying to reconcile them. He has been approached to play rhythm guitar.

It’s also thought that the Gallaghers want former Oasis bass player Andy Bell in the band, and he is currently touring with his own band Ride, but should be free to tour in 2025.

Guitarist Gem Archer is also still pals with Liam and plays in Noel’s High Flying Birds band so is an obvious choice.

This only leaves a drummer and Alan White has posted hints on social media that he would be up for re-joining the band. Other candidates would include Zak Starkey who plays in Noel’s band and former Oasis drummer Chris Sharrock. The original drummer Tony McCarroll has said he would love the chance to reunite but it is not thought he will be considered.

For their 2025 UK and Ireland tour, Oasis will be supported by Richard Ashcroft (formerly of The Verve) and the indie rock band Cast.

The band are expected to begin rehearsals towards the end of the year. Liam took a holiday to France but Noel still has a number of holidays planned.

He was photographed clothes shopping in London last week and speaking on August 20, Noel told friend Matt Morgan in a podcast he had multiple holidays lined up.

He said: “Over the next two months I’ll be all over the place on holiday. I’m going to the South of France for a week and then I’m going to Ibiza for a week and then I’m back in London for a week and then I’m going to Greece for a couple of weeks and then maybe off to LA to see some friends. I won’t bring my guitar on holiday because I’m staying with friends, so that would be rude. I don’t bring my guitar on holiday, it’s nice to get away from it for a while.”

Liam headlines his own festival in Malta on Sept 22 and also will perform at Anthony Joshua’s next boxing fight on September 21.

Fans have begun to speculate and request their favourite songs for Oasis to play. New research from Betfair Casino also unveiled which tracks have proven to be the most popular with fans to date.

Using number of Spotify streams, YouTube views, and the peak position each song has placed on the UK Singles and Singles Download Charts – the band’s iconic track Wonderwall placed first on the list. Another classic from (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, Don’t Look Back in Anger followed behind in second place, followed by Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Stand By Me, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova and Whatever.

On his recent solo Definitely Maybe tour Liam belted out a number of other hits from the first album including Supersonic, Slide Away and Columbia and also included Half The World Away in his set which delighted many fans.

The band often finished gigs in the past with Beatles classic I Am The Walrus. Another song fans would love to hear is 1998 B side Acquiesce as it features both Noel and Liam singing the iconic chorus which would work well with the emotion of the reunion.

Liam gave a cryptic four-word response to a plucky fan who confronted him directly on the rumoured set list.

Asked on X, formerly known as Twitter, if the incredible run of songs was close to what the band will be playing, the rock and roll star replied: “It’s not far off”

There are strict rules in place for Oasis resales, as tour organisers battle to combat price inflation to prevent ticket touting and bots. Resale tickets will only be available to purchase on Ticketmaster and Twickets and Oasis themselves have warned against anyone attempting to resell tickets for several times their value on third-party websites.

The band said in a statement posted to their social media pages: “We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale. Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be cancelled by the promoters.”

Oasis will also perform seven nights at the iconic Wembley Stadium with tickets selling out under huge demand. Summer 2025 is expect to be the biggest in the venues history with more than 2 million fans set to watch an array of iconic bands and singers under the famous arches. To give fans the best seat in the house for Oasis, fans can choose the hospitality option to watch the brothers’ reunion in style. Packages include premium seating, VIP access, gourmet dining, and dedicated service. While hospitality tickets also sold in record time, fans can still snap up the VIP packages on the dedicated resale sites.

LNER has unveiled plans for a special Oasis train ahead of the band’s first concert in London on 25 July 2025. The 09:00 Edinburgh to London King’s Cross train will be named the “LNER She’s Electric” service, and there definitely maybe a number of surprises on board as the train rolls with it from Edinburgh Waverley to London King’s Cross ahead of the Wembley concert.

King’s Cross holds a special place in Oasis history. Fans will know that the band’s first ever London gig was at a nearby pub, while the video for their debut single, Supersonic, was shot on the roof of a nearby building and features the iconic station as a backdrop throughout.

The “She’s Electric” service stops in Newcastle, Durham, Darlington, Northallerton, York, Doncaster, Newark Northgate and Peterborough, meaning fans from across the East Coast route can enjoy the Oasis special.

Tickets for the service are now on sale. Stuart Thomas, Communications Director at LNER, said: “There are plenty of Oasis fans at LNER and we couldn’t let the first London gig go off without marking the occasion. There will be a few surprises on board that will hopefully make our customers feel like a Rock N Roll Star, and while our trains might not be supersonic, they’ll whizz Oasis fans to London faster than a cannonball.”
