Soap spoilers for next week: Emmerdale John Sugden exposed and Corrie downfall

Must read

New soap spoilers have teased some pivotal scenes across Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street next week.

There’s dark secrets being covered up and they are at risk of coming to light. One Emmerdale killer finds one of his possible lies being exposed by other characters leading to a dramatic confrontation, and soon a truth is revealed.

Speaking of secrets, next week EastEnders’ Sonia Fowler makes a big discovery that could lead to a life-changing decision. The arrival of a mystery man desperate to speak with the character leads to huge scenes ahead of her exit from the BBC soap very soon.

Meanwhile over on Corrie, one villain could face a big downfall as he pushes someone too far. As a teen tries to get his own way, amid rumours of a secret link to a troublesome couple, it sets a revenge plan in motion.

It’s safe to say there’s big moments ahead on all three soaps. Here are the spoilers for some of the key storylines…

John Sugden is accused of lying about murdered Anthony Fox’s fate and burial location next week. John, played by actor Oliver Farnworth, was confirmed to be the killer of Nate Robinson in shocking episodes this week.

But amid other secrets and crimes also being kept from villagers, he could be exposed over one of his lies next week. Spoilers have confirmed the medic starts to raise suspicions for more than one character. An incident next week sees multiple characters confronting John over the truth about Anthony’s death and where he is supposedly buried.

There’s a bombshell find about the recently murdered villain that could expose John over a possible lie. After the Miligans receive flowers supposedly from the dead character, his granddaughter/daughter Steph panics and fears he is alive.

She’s only recently found out that Anthony is her biological father after he raped her mother Ruby as a teenager. She also found out Ruby killed him and that John hid the body, with several villagers now covering up the crime.

So when the flowers arrive with a warning that Anthony is out to get her and her parents, she decides he has to be alive. Next week she goes to the location of where his body is said to be and begins clawing at the ground.

As she does this her parents arrive, soon joined by John and his partner Aaron Dingle. Steph declares that Anthony is not buried there, and nothing has been buried there ever.

The way the ground is set leaves her pointing out it has not been disturbed. She soon confronts John and accuses him of lying about Anthony being dead, but what will he say?

We could finally see the downfall of Dylan Wilson’s tormentor Brody next week, following the reports he’s the secret son of newcomers Mick and Lou. It’s claimed Kit will end up being revealed as his dad, but for now Brody is still caught up in drama with Dylan and his dad Sean.

Brody manages to call Sean from the STC and demands he does a job for him. Sean asks pal Glenda for money leaving her concerned, unaware Brody is wanting the money by the end of the day – and it seems it pushes Sean to commit an unforgivable act.

Things reach a dramatic point as Sean enlists STC tutor Daniel Osbourne’s help in retrieving some specific evidence that could expose Brody for once and for all – so is his downfall sealed?

A mystery character insists on speaking with Sonia Fowler next week after tracking her down, and soon the exiting character makes a big discovery. Within days she’s contemplating a life-changing decision, and a move away from Walford.

We know that Natalie Cassidy is leaving the role after decades on the BBC soap, and now new spoilers have hinted this could air next week. Spoilers remain very vague about who the man is, what she finds out and whether she does in fact leave next week.

But given when actress Natalie filmed her final scenes it could well mean next week is the time to say goodbye for the Walford favourite. It all kicks off when Mo Harris and Kim Fox face Sonia’s wrath after they bring a tour of true-crime fans to her door after everything that happened with her killer fiancé Reiss Colwell.

But someone on the tour remains fixated on No.25, while both Sonia and her sister Bianca Jackson are forced to deal with ‘fans’ of their story. As Sonia makes amends with her sister after falling out over a podcast, they both notice the mystery man watching them.

Soon enough the real identity of the new character is exposed, leading to him heading to request an audience with Sonia at the house. But who is he and what does he want?

A huge truth comes to light and leaves Sonia reeling, and she decides she needs some time alone. When her uncle Jack Branning finds out what’s gone on he offers her some words of advice, as she ponders on a decision that could change her life forever.
