‘I tried Love Island star Maya Jama’s Uber Eats menu – and it was my type on paper’

Must read

The Queen of presenting Maya Jama has been giving TV royalty Davina McCall and AJ Odudu a run for their money in recent years in her work across television and radio, but now the Bristolian babe, 30, is coming for the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver with her Uber Eats culinary menu. The Love Island host has unveiled a limited-time menu with the food delivery platform – and just like Maya herself, the menu is confident, playful, and full of unexpected twists that somehow just work.

Only available on April 12 and 13, Maya’s exclusive ‘Revive & Thrive’ menu is packed with nostalgic bites and elevated comfort eats. Designed with hangover cravings and feel-good indulgence in mind, the lineup features bold flavour twists like mac ‘n’ cheese with gochujang and Asian slaw, a decadent smash burger with watermelon jam and curly fries, and a light and delicious saltfish with a fried dumpling.

For dessert, the brunette beauty opted for a rich coffee-infused sticky toffee pudding. And if you’re someone who is in the mood for something a bit lighter coming into the summer months, the TV star has added an incredible Caesar salad with griddled chicken breast to the menu.

I was shook to my core when the delivery arrived at my door – these weren’t your average takeaway bags. No, these were designer-level, glossy, glamorous, and giving serious “limited edition drop” energy. I half expected a personal note from Maya herself and a red carpet rolled out on my doorstep. It felt like Christmas morning – just with better food.

And then came the food. The portions? Enormous. We’re talking generous to the point of luxurious. Myself and my very lucky dinner date Emma found ourselves in a delicious dilemma – we were full, but everything tasted too good to stop. There we were, fork in hand, practically cheering each other on through mouthfuls of mac ‘n’ cheese and sticky toffee pudding. A true feast. The kind that makes you forget that summer is just around the corner and you need to fit into that bikini.

Take the mac ‘n’ cheese with gochujang and Asian slaw – creamy, spicy, and punchy, it’s a dish that balances comfort and flair, much like Maya’s on-screen presence. The smash burger with watermelon jam and curly fries is another standout. It’s indulgent and joyful with a sweet-savory kick that catches you off guard – just like one of Maya’s cheeky one-liners.

The saltfish with fried dumpling is the perfect way to gear up for summer, grounding the menu in warmth from the Caribbean inspired dish. Altogether, ‘Revive & Thrive’ isn’t just a clever name – it’s a fitting reflection of Maya Jama herself: comforting and undeniably glam – and if you have any taste at all, it will definitely be your type on paper too.

Maya’s incredible five-dish menu will be available on the Uber Eats app for delivery in London on 12 April for Uber One customers, and 13 April for everyone between 12 – 5pm.
