‘This £9 beauty bundle transformed my morning routine and saved me over £80’

Must read

I normally nip in and out of my morning shower in minutes, barely giving it, or the products I use during it, any thought. However, I’ve been trying out a new box of beauty products that aims to elevate your morning routine and make your shower a more spa-like experience – and all for under £10.

OK! Beauty Box has just dropped its latest monthly subscription box, and I was once of the first to try it out. This month’s box, called the April Showers Edit, is all about enhancing your shower and morning beauty routine, and contains five top products that’ll suit everyone, including a brand new shampoo and conditioner, a cleanser worth over £50 on its own, a must-have hair comb and gorgeous scented body oil.

All this is worth over £95 in total but if you’re new to subscribing to OK! Beauty Box, you’ll get it for half of the usual monthly subscription price of £15; that’s £95 of beauty for just £8.99.

Here’s exactly what’s inside this new beauty box:

In a bid to feel a bit more energised and pulled together in the mornings, I tried all of these products out – and noticed a huge difference.

The cleanser feels refreshing yet non-drying on the skin, washing away easily with a splash of water and leaving skin feeling softer and smoother. The Wild Science Lab shampoo and conditioner – which aren’t even available to buy on the brand’s own website yet – feel cooling on the scalp, and leave hair feeling swishably light and bouncy, and they also smell lovely (those with very dry hair might find that they need to follow with a richer conditioner or mask though; Olaplex No.3 is always a classic, and currently on sale here).

I have incredibly knotty hair but was thrilled to find that the sturdy FUL comb made short work of my tangled strands, halving the time it usually takes me to comb through my hair after a shower.

This month’s box contains five skin, hair and body treats, worth over £95 in total.

It’s the Balance Me body oil, however, that probably made the biggest difference to my beauty routine; I would buy the box for this alone. I never usually remember to apply body cream or lotion after a shower or bath but I made a special effort to use this oil every day, and the skin on my limbs looks so much better; no more dry, scaly legs or rough elbows. It also smells incredible – a spa-like blend of bergamot, juniper, geranium and lavender – and smelling this really put me in a good mood each day.

Overall this subscription box has encouraged me to pay a bit more attention to my morning routine, and my skin, hair and mind is already thanking me for it. Every product inside is also 50ml or under, making it perfect for travelling.

Another money-saving box filled with travel-friendly products is the Lookfantastic Travel Edit. Worth over £105 but yours for £30, it contains minis of brands such as L’Occitane, Sol de Janeiro and Philip Kingsley.

There’s also still time to buy the Next Next Luxury Beauty Easter Egg in time for Easter; it’s £50 but worth over £183, and contains treats from Aromatherapy Associates, Laura Mercier and Iconic London.
