Must read

The UK is filled with stunning beaches, breathtaking countryside and postcard-perfect villages, all ideal for a spontaneous spring break close to home.

A last-minute Easter staycation is a fantastic way to enjoy quality time with loved ones without the hefty price tag of going abroad. Whether it’s a seaside caravan, a snug countryside cottage or a woodland lodge, there’s still time to find the perfect spot for a quick Easter getaway.

Many top holiday companies like Haven, Parkdean Resorts and Sykes Cottages still have availability, so I’ve picked out some of the best breaks that might be worth considering.

We’ve scoured the internet so you don’t have to. All deals are still available to book at the time of writing, but are likely to sell out quickly.

With 38 holiday parks to choose from across the UK, Haven still has some availability for the Easter Holidays. The parks offer entertainment programs, swimming pools, on-site restaurants and activities and are usually situated close to local beaches and attractions.

To save more money, Haven Hideaway breaks offer accommodation only deals by the sea.

Some of the best deals available to book today include:

Prices are based on caravan accomodation for 4 – 6 people, depending on location.

Advance bookings usually offer greater discounts. Anyone looking to get away for the May half term holiday could enjoy a three night break from £169 – or as little as £9.30 per person, per night.

Holidaymakers who have already enjoyed a Haven holiday have left plenty of positive reviews on Tripadvisor. They especially praised the “clean caravans” and ‘well maintained parks.”

Some visitors however, raised concerns about “dated facilities” in some parks.

With parks in some of the UK’s most popular destinations including Cornwall, Norfolk, Scotland, Devon and Yorkshire, Parkdean Resorts is offering school holiday stays across the UK.

All parks offer a full programme of activities and entertainment for families to enjoy, as well as comfortable accommodation in caravans and lodges.

Parkdean is also currenlty offering dog friendly holidays from £99 and May half term breaks from £129 – but parks are getting booked up quickly.

A favourite with families looking for fun, Parkdean has over 4,000 reviews on Tripadvisor. Guests who enjoyed their stay commented on the “clean and spotless caravans” and “parks with loads to do.”

Some visitors however were disappointed that they had to pay extra for Wi-Fi, while some others felt the caravans “weren’t up to scratch.”

Ahead of the summer season, Sykes has up to 40% off selected properties for the Easter break. Offering everything from caravans parks and holidays flats to luxury cottages and manor houses, Sykes has something to suit every type of staycationer.

Some of the best Easter deals include:

Holidaymakers could also save on May half term holidays and summer breaks can be secured with just a £20 deposit.

Sykes Cottages has an ‘Excellent’ rating on Tripadvisor. Guests were particularly impressed with “easy booking process” and “immaculate homes.”

On a few rare occasions, some customers were not as impressed by the customer service.

Deal site Wowcher also offers a range of short breaks and holidays with some still available to book across the Easter holidays. Offering big discounts on glamping resorts and hotels, the site is a lesser known goldmine for cheap staycations.

Some of the best deals you can book today, include:

Wowcher offers a range of unique cut price breaks and holidays, including the iconic £99 Mystery Holiday deals.

Customers have given Wowcher a 4.3 out of five-star rating on Tripadvisor, highlighting the “excellent deals” and “easy way to book holidays.”

Some however were concerned by additional fees charged on top of the advertised prices.
