No, don’t worry – it’s not just you. Spotify really is down right now. According to users of the hugely popular music streaming service, Spotify is experiencing a number of technical difficulties, leaving listeners unable to tune into tracks or playlists.
The gremlins appear to have around 10.30 am and have continued to wreak havoc for over an hour.
Down Detector, an independent website which shows the Status of online services, showed that at its peak, there were over 5,000 complaints per that Spotify wasn’t working.
Users have also been rushing to social media to moan about the problems.
One fan named Cindy posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) saying, “Spotify is down and I’m at the gym”.
Another user called Phantom added, “I was finally getting into the mood to draw. I had my playlist going, I was vibing… then the next song doesn’t play. Spotify is down.”
There is better news on the horizon as reports are now starting to drop off which could be a sign that Spotify has now got things back under control and everything is working again.
