Cat Deeley wows on This Morning in pastel-hued outfit that’s perfect for Easter

Must read

If florals aren’t your cup of tea, another way to lean into the season’s style trends is with pastels. And I’ve found a stunning co-ord worn by This Morning’s Cat Deeley that embodies Easter, making it a great choice for any Bank Holiday weekend plans.

At the end of March, Cat Deeley wore a pale yellow linen top and skirt combination to present the daytime talk show. Styled by Rachael Hughes, the top from Mint Velvet, is a wonderful way to wear one of this year’s most trending colours – not to mention how popular tie front tops are right now.

The Yellow Linen Scallop Tie Front Top comes in at £99 and is made from 100% linen, making it an ideal choice for warmer weather. The blouse comes in yellow, ivory as well as shades of pale pink and blue, which together look just like a pack of Mini Eggs. My personal favourite though has got to be the pink, which is also available at Next.

Coming in sizes XS to XL, the blouse features a V-neckline with feminine scalloped detail and tie fastenings at the front. Puff sleeves add volume at the shoulders, perfect for pear-shaped bodies to add balance.

Cat paired her blouse with the co-ordinating maxi skirt, also £99, but there are also matching shorts or trousers available. The only downside is that none of the bottoms are available in the ivory shade, so that’s one you’d perhaps pair with denim shorts or jeans.

The skirt is cut to a maxi length, while the shorts and trousers are both high rise. All three of these pieces boast an elastic waistband and drawstring fastening, which make them comfortable for all day wear, ideal for anyone who suffers from bloating, and gives them an overall more relaxed vibe.

Elsewhere, scalloped detailing has proven on trend, with Nobody’s Child offering this White Puff Sleeve Birdie Blouse for £49. It has a v-neck with a drop collar, short puff sleeves and covered buttons for a polished look. Meanwhile, TU Clothing has this £16 Yellow Tie Front V-Neck Blouse, which is a lovely option for anyone wanting to lean into the yellow trend but with a longer sleeve.

This isn’t the only outfit of Cat’s I’ve been obsessed with of late, either. On March 24, the 48-year-old donned a denim midi dress, from Cos, which she paired with a red neckerchief and knee boots. Priced at £135, the piece is made from organic cotton and boasts a noughties silhouette for that Y2K aesthetic that has dominated social media for months.

Her exact French Connection dress from earlier this month proved so popular with viewers, that the £99 frock is now sold out at some retailers, but shoppers can still get the look with this Round Neck Pleated Midaxi Waisted Dress from Marks and Spencer. Costing £45, it boasts a similar round neck and ‘flattering’ drop waist, with a dark coloured figure-hugging bodice that moves into a swishy, light-coloured skirt.
