Clever way Celeb Big Brother’s Ella Rae Wise guarantees her make-up stays on 24/7 in the house

Must read

Celebrity Big Brother is back for another series, and it’s already shaping up to be more action-packed than ever before. Over here on the Style team, we’ve been watching the contestants’ hair, make-up and outfits to see if we can get some insider intel on how they’re managing to look great while being filmed 24/7.

One star in particular, Ella Rae Wise, has been catching our eye, and after a bit of digging, we think we’ve discovered how she looks so perfectly made up at all points: semi-permanent make-up.

Before heading into the CBB house, the 24-year-old TOWIE star treated herself to a lip blush and a tattoo eyeliner treatment to ensure some of her make-up stays on her skin at all times. We know this because semi-permanent make-up specialist Tracie Giles took to Instagram this week to share Ella’s impressive before and afters.

Big Brother wake-up calls? No problem. Ella can roll out of bed camera-ready thanks to her Gloss & Go Lip Blush and Whipshaded Eyeliner,” the clinic penned.

The lip blush treatment means Ella won’t have to wear lipstick for up to three years, and the tattoo liner can last up to two years before needing a top-up. It seems the star has opted for a more natural semi-permanent make-up look, choosing a thin, smoky eyeliner and a rosy shade of lip blush, but you can tailor each treatment to your own tastes.

If you want to make like Ella and treat yourself to a semi-permanent make-up transformation, a lip blush will set you back upwards of £250 at aesthetic clinics nationwide, while Tracie’s Whipshaded Eyeliner costs from £795.

Lip blush treatment is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the natural shape and colour of your lips, creating a fuller, more defined look. The process involves depositing tiny amounts of pigment into the lips using fine needles, similar to tattooing but much softer, offering a natural flush of colour.

The treatment generally lasts between one to three hours and includes a numbing cream to minimise discomfort. Results can last between 1-3 years depending on factors like skin type and aftercare. It’s ideal for those seeking a more defined lip shape or correcting asymmetry and discolouration, without the daily upkeep of traditional makeup.

After the procedure, it’s common to experience some swelling and intense colour, which will fade over the next few days. The lips will begin to peel and scab during the first week, and it’s important not to pick at the scabs to avoid disrupting the pigment. Full healing can take up to six weeks, with the colour settling to its final shade after a few weeks. Regular aftercare is essential for optimal results, including keeping the lips moisturised and avoiding sun exposure or makeup until fully healed. A touch-up appointment may be necessary after about 4-6 weeks to perfect the colour.

Zoe, who headed to see Karen Betts for her own lip blush appointment late last year, explains the full process and details her results here.
