Travel fans have found a tip to prevent leaks and spills that’s been dubbed a “game changer.” TikTok user @moooreaalinkerr wowed social media users when they shared a video explaining the “packing hack.”
The travel lover wrote: “For no leaks and spills when travelling! Try this hack!” In the video, they then demonstrated how they cover bottle tops with ziplock bags before replacing the lid, creating a spill-proof cover over the opening.
The simple method impressed commenters, with many revealing they’d never heard of it before. Someone replied: “You cracked the code, thank you for sharing this!”
A second viewer wrote: “I’m learning more from this app than 29 years of life lol.” A third said: “Definitely will do this when I pack this week!! Thank you.”
Another commented: “Genius.” Someone else praised: “Love this hack,” while a viewer added: “I needed to know that in May.” Meanwhile, a fan shared: “I always do this.” Someone echoed: “Yep I do this too.”
However, several commenters were quick to suggest alternative methods. One response read: “A small piece of cling film does the trick.” A second said: “You can also use foil!” A third agreed: “Or use plastic wrap instead of wasting a bag.” A fourth added: “Or you could just stick it in the bag.”
Alternatively, a savvy social media user suggested recycling bread bags. Sharing the suggestion on Reddit, someone said: “To make your bottles spill-proof when traveling just unscrew the lids and put some scrap plastic over the opening then screw the lid back on.
“Better than letting the bottles spill out into costly ziplock bags. Use cling wrap or recycle things like bread bags.” Once more, commenters loved the idea.
A fan said: “Wow. I cannot believe I didn’t think of this before, I feel like such an idiot now,” and another replied: “I do this. Works every time.”
