Sabrina Carpenter set to headline virtual Fortnite Festival and fans are gobsmacked

Must read

Sabrina Carpenter has been announced as the latest musician to headline Fortnite Festival 8. During the virtual event, players will experience exclusive content, available from April 8 until June 17 – the end of the Fortnite Festival season.

The Fortnite Festival was developed by Harmonix and Epic Games. Launched in December 2023, the virtual festival has previously had The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Metallica, Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, Karol G and Travis Scott as their headliners.

Announcing the news, Sabrina called her Fortnite avatar “shockingly accurate,” as it shows her ‘short’ and ‘sweet’ height. She told Rolling Stone: “My avatar is for sure height appropriate, as Fortnite characters are all around six foot three, which is actually how tall I am in real life too.”

Fans also took to social media to express their excitement, with some even saying they’d download the app just because of Sabrina. One wrote: “I’m obsessed with these Sabrina Carpenter skins for Fortnite,” with another one adding: “Asking my nephew if he’ll gift me the Sabrina carpenter Fortniteskin.”

A third one commented: Only Sabrina Carpenter could get me playing Fortnite.” A fourth one said: “Imagine hating on me and I’m just in my room playing Fortnite with the new Sabrina carpenter skin.”

The game features three different modes, which are the ‘Main Stage’, ‘The Jam Stage’, and the ‘Battle Stage’. During that time, players choose to play a song they want to perform, attempting to get the highest score based on their performance.

The singer has brought two exclusive skins inspired by her recent Short ‘n’ Sweet tour, featuring her most popular tracks, ‘Juno’, ‘Nonsense’, and ‘Please Please Please’. Other features will include her iconic sparkly microphone, a lipstick-stained purse and new choreography for her music.

Besides the festival, the free and premium rewards can be unlocked in the Music Pass by earning XP in any Fortnite game mode. Users will be able to access Sabrina’s Festival Music Pass, which costs 1,400 V-Bucks. Users can buy 1,000 V-Bucks, which have a cost of £6.99.

It will unlock the singer’s ‘babydoll’ outfit – which is the dress inspired by her ‘Emails I Can’t Send Tour’ – as well as other styles available under premium rewards. Players will also be able to buy alternative outfits and accessories through the Fortnite Item Shop, such as the ‘A Sweet Little Bundle’ collection for 2,800 V-Bucks, which is equivalent to £17.49.

Here’s a rundown of the different V-Bucks prices for the Sabrina Carpenter Fortnite add-ons, including outfits, accessories, tracks, and choreographies.
