Rylan Clark took a brief pause from his Radio 2 show to express his “love” for fellow BBC presenter Liza Tarbuck.
The former X Factor contestant shared with his audience that he had just come back from Miami, where he was busy shooting the second series of Dating Naked UK.
During his show, after chatting with Leanne Brown, the lead vocalist of Sweet Female Attitude, Rylan was overjoyed to see his colleague Liza in the studio.
The Celebrity Gogglebox personality mentioned how unusual it was for him and Liza, who takes over the airwaves from 6-8pm following Rylan’s slot, to have a conversation before 5.40pm.
Rylan excitedly remarked: “I was thinking last night, I was very, very tired, and I was like ‘at least I get to cuddle Liza tomorrow, she’ll give me a little cuddle’. I’m going to chat to you later but I had to just say hello to you now,” reports the Manchester Evening News.
Liza warmly responded: “I tell you, I got dressed today thinking ‘oh good, he’s home’.”
The 60-year-old admitted she hadn’t even said hello to Sally Boazman, affectionately known as ‘Sally Traffic’, before greeting Rylan, prompting him to comment: “That’s blasphemous.”
Their exchange concluded with a discussion about Liza’s attire, as she joked about “embracing pattern”, while Rylan declared his preference for “all about the block”.
Rylan couldn’t hide his affection, saying: “Oh I love you, look at her, I love her. I love her to bits. I’m sorry, but when Liz Tarbuck walks past the show gets put on hold, I’m just putting it out there.”
Last month, Rylan Clark dropped a bombshell to the Daily Star regarding the Paramount+ dating extravaganza ‘Dating Naked UK’, teasing fans with news of an impending major overhaul and exciting plot twists aimed at ramping up the drama.
“There are going to be some big changes. It’s really exciting. The location is changing,” shared an ecstatic Rylan.
“What we’ve got lined up is going to be brilliant. There will be lots of twists and turns.
“If the daters watched the first season and think they know how the show works, they’re wrong. We want to keep them on their toes. We don’t want them to know what’s coming next.”
Despite causing a stir when it debuted, the show notched impressive viewership numbers, earning the title of the largest spectacle on Paramount+.
‘Dating Naked UK’ catapults 10 single participants into the pursuit of love, all whilst they’re stripped down to their bare essentials. The previous series took its adventures to Colombia, complete with amorous encounters and the notorious ‘The Dumping Ground’ elimination segment.
