Nicola Adams’ ex-partner, Ella Baig, shared a cryptic post on judgement after the boxer revealed her OnlyFans career took a toll on their relationship. Nicola called it quits with the OnlyFans star, 27 – with whom she shares a son – last month, in news which devastated their legion of loyal fans.
The duo never explicitly comment on why they decided to go their separate ways but Nicola, 42, recently admitted Ella’s career as an OnlyFans content creator played a significant part in their split even though they reportedly tried to go to couple’s therapy to save their struggling relationship.
Following Nicola’s comments, Ella shared a promotional post for her OnlyFans account and later returned to her Instagram Stories to re-post a video from another OnlyFans creator.
The caption read: “Ur a bad influence. But you’re judgemental and that’s worse.”
Speaking to The Sun about the challenges Ella working with the x-rated sharing site presented, Nicola recently said: “I have always been incredibly supportive of Ella’s career and the choices she has made, including her work on OnlyFans.”
She added: “However, as much as I respect what she does, I can’t deny that it has had an impact on our relationship.”
A source close to the couple also said: “They really tried to make it work, especially for the sake of their son, and even went to couples’ therapy, but came to the conclusion that they were better off separating.
“They still have a lot of love for each other, and great memories, but are focused on being brilliant co-parents.”
Nicola, who is also known for her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, and Ella share a two-year-old son name Taylor Nate. He was born via IVF using one of former Strictly star Nicola’s eggs.
The former couple first decided they were going to try to start a family in 2020, two years after they met on a night out. At the time, they began IVF treatment and used an egg fertilised via a sperm donor.
Ella carried their child before giving birth a month before her due date. Following Taylor’s birth, Nicola spoke to Vogue magazine about how there was a lack of parenting books for same-sex families.
She said: “The information is out there but we really had to dig for it.”
Ella also once opened up about her pregnancy when speaking to Hello! magazine. She recalled the moment her waters broke and shouted at her partner to ring the hospital.
“This is the point when everything feels worth the chaos and the long process of IVF. It’s the one outcome you’re waiting for,” she said.
