Inside Georgia Kousoulou’s Spanish wedding – TOWIE guestlist to Tommy Mallet surprise

Must read

She first won hearts on The Only Way Is Essex , and now Georgia Kousoulou is a mum-of-two and preparing for a huge second wedding abroad. She officially tied the knot with fellow TOWIE star Tommy Mallet in December 2023 and they share son Brody, three, and daughter, Gigi, five months.

Between family life and running their businesses, they’ve faced highs and lows, including losing a baby in April 2023.

Now, with their dream Majorca wedding around the corner, Georgia, 33, is embracing every moment. “I’ve had these plans in my head for so long, I can’t believe it’s finally happening,” she says.

Here, she tells us about mum life, why Tommy is banned from wedding planning and if any TOWIE stars are on the guest list…

Hi, Georgia. How are you finding juggling two children?

I love it. It’s definitely an adjustment – you get used to one, and then suddenly there’s another. But she’s [Gigi] a dream, I’m really enjoying it this time around. I know how quickly time flies, so I’m just holding on to every moment.

When do you get “Georgia time”?

This might sound sad, but I walk on my treadmill at night while watching The Kardashians! I got a little treadmill from Amazon, and it’s my peaceful time. Everyone in the house is asleep, and I don’t have to think about anything.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt about parenting?

Trust your instincts. With Brody, I always second-guessed myself, but now I know to trust what feels right. Also, don’t be afraid to make things easier. Keeping a human alive while also figuring out your own life is hard.

We see you’re getting back into fitness…

First time around, I was in my pyjamas every day and had no interest in working out. But second time, I’m more active, with school runs and activities. Plus, I’m getting married. WeightWatchers has changed my life – tracking my food has made it easy, without feeling like a diet. I think stressing about weight makes it harder. I say, take your time.

You and Tommy have such a busy life – do you fit in date nights?

We’re a proper little team now. The other day, Tommy came home and gave me a fist bump like, “Good work today!” We support each other. Sometimes it’s not about fancy date nights – it’s the little things, like grabbing a McDonald’s or having breakfast together.

How are the wedding plans going?

All good! We’re so excited. Everyone already knows it’s in Majorca, but I won’t reveal exactly where – I want it to be a surprise! I want everyone to be like, “Oh, my God!” when they see it. I’m about to up the game. I just hope everyone loves it.

How involved is Tommy in the planning?

Oh, I’m a control freak – it’s all me! I love it. I ask him for his opinions, but honestly, I don’t want him to get involved. It’s my thing. I want him to be shocked, like, “Wow, this is amazing!”

Will any of the TOWIE crew be there?

Yes, definitely a few! I don’t want to give too much away, but they’re involved – and I can’t wait. And Brody and Gigi will obviously have their moments.

You went through a tough time after Gigi was born and she was in hospital. How did you cope?

Having a winter baby is so different from a summer baby – the illnesses are stressful. Gigi was born in November in flu season, and that was harder than anything I’ve ever done – even IVF. Next time, I’ll definitely try to have a summer baby!

You and Tommy met on TOWIE – what’s your favourite moment from your time on the show?

I loved TOWIE! I was watching it the other night on my treadmill. It was my whole twenties. I have so much respect for the show. My favourite moments were meeting Tommy, the pumpkin date and announcing Brody.

Do you still keep in touch with cast members?

I talk to Dan Edgar all the time, Diags and Saffron. When you see someone from the show, it’s like no time has passed – you have a special bond.

How did being on reality TV change your life?

It changed everything. I met Tommy, I have two beautiful children, it gave me my best twenties ever. Some people look down on reality TV, but why? We got paid to have fun with our friends. What a job!

Would you do any other shows?

I love doing TV. I’d love to do documentaries where I talk to women, because people always open up to me. And yes, I’d do I’m A Celebrity. I’m terrified of spiders, but if it involves food, I’d get through it!

Do you ever take the time to think about how much you do?

Yeah. Tom will come home and ask, “What did you do today?” And when I list it all, it’s crazy. Mums do so much in a day – it’s wild! That’s why mums are superhumans.

You’re working on a campaign with Philips to help new mums. What was the best advice you received?

With Brody, it was a whirlwind. I didn’t really know what day it was. But second time around, I feel so much more relaxed. The best advice I got was not to put pressure on myself, do what makes life easier, and not be afraid to ask for help.

Philips Avent’s new movement calls on society to ‘Share the Care’ of baby, because supporting mums means they can better look after themselves and baby longer term
