In July, a lightsaber featuring Luke Skywalker’s severed hand from the movie “The Empire Strikes Back” was sold at auction for a record-breaking $3.75 million. This marked the highest price ever paid for a prop used in a “Star Wars” film, as reported by the auction house.

Now, enthusiasts have the opportunity to acquire the lightsaber that was involved in the iconic severing scene. A Darth Vader lightsaber utilized in the pivotal duel at Cloud City, where the famous line “I am your father” was delivered to Skywalker, is set to be a highlight of the upcoming Ultimate Star Wars Auction hosted by Heritage Auctions on November 12.

The Vader lightsaber, also seen in “Return of the Jedi,” is anticipated to command a minimum of $1 million. It is just one of over twenty lightsaber props that will be available for bidding at the auction, covering the entire saga of “Star Wars” from Episodes I through IX, along with props from other films and TV series within the universe created by George Lucas.

Among the items up for auction are the lightsabers wielded by Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker in “Revenge of the Sith,” each expected to fetch at least $10,000 individually.

Additionally, an EE-3 carbine blaster used by Boba Fett in “The Empire Strikes Back” is estimated to exceed $100,000. The auction will also feature a Yoda puppet hand operated by Frank Oz in the character’s original appearance, Anthony Daniels’ signed personal screenplay from the 1977 original “Star Wars,” and a TIE Fighter pilot helmet from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
