New spoilers for EastEnders have teased drama head for Zack Hudson next week, as a killer returns to Walford.
Nicola Mitchell, who was exposed as Shireen’s killer to viewers of the BBC soap just weeks ago, is back in the Square after some time away next week. But as her dark secret remains under wraps, she begins meddling with her new enemy Zack once more in upcoming episodes.
She causes trouble for him after a discovery, and it could pave the way for some explosive scenes. Viewers know that Zack recently learned he was the biological father of Nicola’s teen son Barney.
Nicola is going to desperate measures to stop Zack from spilling the beans to her son and her husband Teddy Mitchell, who thinks he’s Barney’s dad. She had Zack attacked recently, and next week she’s back to causing drama for him.
She recently headed for a break away, as things with Shireen’s murder and Zack’s eagerness to confess to Barney left her in turmoil. So when she returns next week and finds out Zack has been getting closer to Barney, the killer takes abrupt action.
Zack discovers a way of getting close to his secret son without sparking suspicions with his family. He wants to get to know him, still keen for Barney to know that he is his real dad.
He tells Teddy he can offer Barney training sessions, and Teddy agrees to this thinking it will help him. Zack and Barney begin to spend time together, and go for a run with them soon starting to bond.
But it all kicks off when Nicola returns to Walford from her getaway, and she finds out that Zack is training Barney. Trying to disguise her horror, the shocked character wastes no time in trying to stop it from happening.
She issues a warning to Zack, telling him to stay away from Barney and stop the training. But Zack refuses, ignoring her pleas as he continues to spend time with his son.
This leaves Nicola furious and she takes further action in a bid to stop Barney from going anywhere near Zack. She takes cruel action to set up Zack in the hope Barney will turn against him.
Nicola asks for the help of fellow teens Tommy Moon and Joel Marshall, asking them to torment her son knowing it will get to him. As a training session begins, the boys do as they are told and begin to antagonise a horrified Barney.
Barney is led to believe that Zack has orchestrated the whole thing and his teasing him after their recent sessions. Upset and blaming his new trainer, Barney flees leaving Zack stunned.
Zack is determined to prove to Barney he’s not to blame though, while also worried about the teen. He rushes after him but will he be able to make him see what’s gone on, and will he rumble Nicola is behind the entire plot?
