Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride put on a memorable performance for the local fans on Sunday at the Target Center. McBride set a new WNBA single-game record by sinking 10 3-pointers in a 103-90 win against the Dallas Wings. Her remarkable shooting display, where she made 10 of 14 attempts from beyond the arc, propelled her to a career-high 43 points.

The record-breaking moment occurred with 2:23 left in the game, extending the Lynx’s lead to 98-83, before McBride received a standing ovation as she left the court with 1:21 remaining. Grateful for the support from the fans and the organization, McBride expressed her love for Minneapolis, her newfound home, and her dedication to giving her best on the court.

Previously, the record for most 3-pointers in a game stood at nine, achieved multiple times, including twice this season by Marina Mabrey of the Toronto team and Rhyne Howard of Atlanta. McBride’s stellar performance also contributed to the Lynx setting a new franchise record for 3-pointers in a game, finishing with 18 successful shots from long range out of 39 attempts.

The Lynx, with a record of 27-7, have been on an offensive spree recently, surpassing the 100-point mark in four of their last six games. McBride’s standout game on Sunday showcased her talent and dedication to the team, leaving both the crowd and herself filled with gratitude and joy for the moment.
