Nicola Golen’s goal in the second minute of extra time secured a 2-2 draw for Ottawa Rapid against AFC Toronto on Sunday at TD Place. Golen’s equalizer in the 92nd minute earned the league-leading Rapid a valuable point in the standings. Melanie Forbes also found the back of the net for Ottawa (10-2-3) in the 13th minute.

Sarah Stratigakis and Shelina Zadorsky scored for third-place Toronto (7-4-4) in response. The match saw both teams reduced to 10 players in the 63rd minute following red cards shown to the Rapid’s Choo Hyojoo and AFC Toronto’s Cloey Uddenberg.

Earlier on the same day, TD Place in Ottawa was announced as the venue for the upcoming Northern Super League final scheduled for November 14.
