A tragic incident involving a six-vehicle crash has led to the loss of a pregnant woman and seven other family members. The devastating collision occurred when a truck driver was charged for his involvement. The victims, including Kenia Ramirez, her partner Darwin Ventura, and their child Kayle, lost their lives in the horrific accident. Additionally, Kenia’s mother and four children, Justin, Andy, Natali, and Evan, were among those who perished in the crash.
The crash, which ignited a chain reaction involving four other vehicles, resulted in a fire that consumed the Dodge van carrying the family. The children, aged between 2 and 16, were tragically killed in the incident. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Kane Aaron Hammock, 33, is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and feticide by a vehicle, along with other traffic-related offenses.
The collision took place on Interstate 85 in Jackson County, approximately 62 miles northeast of Atlanta. The impact of the crash led to the van bursting into flames, claiming the lives of everyone inside. Subsequently, a fundraiser was initiated by devastated family members to assist with funeral costs and expressed deep sorrow over the unexpected loss.
In a heartbreaking twist, a van transporting 37 cats to a shelter in Vermont was also involved in the crash.
