Motorola has introduced a strong competitor to Samsung in the Android market with the launch of the new Motorola Edge 70 Max. This latest offering boasts two standout features that set it apart from Samsung’s flagship Galaxy phones – a large battery capacity and ultra-fast charging capability.

Inside the Motorola Edge 70 Max lies a massive 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, designed to prolong usage time for activities like streaming, gaming, and browsing between charges. Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries in Samsung and other devices, the silicon-carbon technology in the Edge Max offers more energy in the same space, resulting in extended battery life without adding bulk or weight to the phone.

When the battery needs a quick boost, Motorola’s 90W TurboPower charging in the Edge 70 Max kicks in to rapidly recharge the battery. Motorola claims that just six minutes of charging can provide enough power for a day, surpassing Samsung’s current phones with their maximum 60W wired charging capability.

The impressive battery performance of the Edge 70 Max has earned it the prestigious Gold Label for battery life and charging from DXOMARK experts.

Apart from its impressive power features, Motorola has packed flagship-level features into the phone. It includes a sharp 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, handling everything from demanding games to AI functions. The phone also incorporates a large vapour chamber cooling system to regulate temperatures during heavy usage.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Edge 70 Max’s AI-powered camera setup led by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a dedicated macro lens for close-up shots.

Additional features of the Motorola Edge 70 Max include an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and a premium design available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.

Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Motorola, emphasized the device’s blend of beauty, performance, and practicality. He stated, “With immersive visuals, powerful performance, all-day battery life, and the responsiveness gamers demand, the Edge 70 Max delivers a premium entertainment experience without compromise.”

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is now available for purchase in the UK with a price tag of £699.99.
