Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs expressed admiration for his family during a court appearance seeking to dismiss his Mann Act convictions. The 55-year-old musician acknowledged his mother, six children, and other family members present, conveying his pride and love for them.

According to reports, Combs specifically directed his gratitude towards his mother Janice, complimenting her beauty and thanking his family for their unwavering support. He also shared optimism about his legal situation, stating, “Every day, every hour I get closer to coming home,” before waving farewell to his family as he exited the courtroom.

During the hearing, Combs’ legal team contended that the definition of prostitution does not apply to his actions, arguing that he did not engage in direct payment for sexual services. His sentencing is scheduled for October 3, with the possibility of a 20-year prison term for two counts of transportation for prostitution. Despite his conviction, Combs has pleaded not guilty and plans to appeal.

In a recent court filing, Combs’ lawyers requested a reduced sentence, proposing supervised release with mandatory drug treatment and counseling. Prosecutors have until September 29 to provide their sentencing recommendation.

Throughout the trial, it was revealed that Combs facilitated interstate travel for individuals, including his partners and paid male sex workers, for sexual activities, violating the Mann Act. Despite being acquitted of some charges, Combs was emotional during the court proceedings, asking for prayers for his family and expressing relief at avoiding a life sentence.
