Anthony Joshua is gearing up for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul in Miami, where he has arrived early to acclimate to the time zone. The former two-time unified heavyweight champion has been out of action since his defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Joshua, who underwent elbow surgery and has been sidelined due to injury in 2025, is now back in full training and preparing for his return to the ring.

The announcement of Joshua facing Paul left many surprised, with the showdown set to take place on December 19 in Miami, Florida. The bout is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds, with both fighters using 10oz gloves. Despite being expected to have an easy victory over the YouTuber-turned-boxer, Joshua is not underestimating his opponent and is training diligently for the match.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s boxing promoter, confirmed that Joshua is already in Miami and looking sharp for the highly anticipated fight. The clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will be available for live streaming on Netflix, accessible to fans through Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle.

Hearn revealed that Joshua has been instructed not to weigh more than 245lb for the fight against Paul. Contrary to initial negotiations where there were concerns about Joshua’s weight, it seems that the British boxer will meet the required weight limit without major issues.

The fight between Joshua and Paul is set to take place in Miami on December 19, just before Christmas. The event is expected to start around 11pm local time, catering to the American audience, with live coverage on Netflix.
