Andrew Tate seems to be approaching his Misfits Boxing debut with seriousness, evident from his recent appearance with a black eye.
The former kickboxing world champion is gearing up to face actor-turned-boxer Chase DeMoor in Dubai on December 20 as the main attraction of Misfits 23. Tate’s last foray in the kickboxing ring was five years ago when he defeated Cosmin Lingurar.
At 38 years old, Tate is in for a challenging debut as he is set to take on the reigning heavyweight champion under the Misfits banner. DeMoor clinched the heavyweight title last year after a points victory over KELZ on the AnEsonGib vs Slim Albaher undercard. The American successfully defended his title earlier this year against Tank Tolman and then Natan Marcon in August.
DeMoor’s most recent match ended in a draw back in September against Efrain Carranza Gonzalez. Now, gearing up for his sixth fight this year, DeMoor faces a formidable opponent in Tate. The 38-year-old is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation, training with renowned UFC legends as revealed in a recent interview with iFL TV where he showcased his black eye.
Tate acknowledged that his left eye injury was a result of sparring with high-level partners, emphasizing the importance of pushing oneself and constantly challenging one’s limits. Despite his financial stability, Tate expressed his passion for the sport and his willingness to step back into the fighting arena.
Eager to face the formidable DeMoor, Tate acknowledged the challenges ahead, recognizing the champion’s youth, size, and activity level. The fight is scheduled for December 20 at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai, with the main card likely to start around 6pm UK time. Tate is expected to make his ring entrance around 9pm UK time for the main event, aiming to defy expectations and make a statement in the ring.
Official broadcast details for the event are yet to be announced.
