During Tuesday’s visit, which coincided with ongoing conflict in Ukraine and stalled peace negotiations between the United States and Iran, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov informed the media that Putin had been briefed on the outcomes. Peskov refrained from disclosing specific topics discussed or providing further details.
Regarding the purpose of the visit, Trump, in a radio interview, did not explicitly state the reason for Ratcliffe’s trip but expressed optimism about its potential impact. He emphasized ongoing efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and hinted at possible outcomes from the discussions in Moscow.
