President Donald Trump’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly stirred controversy, and his journey back to the White House after the event sparked intrigue as well. Upon boarding Marine One in New York with First Lady Melania Trump, the couple engaged in a seemingly intense conversation, captured by onlookers through the aircraft window. Trump was seen gesturing and pointing while Melania shook her head in response.

The tension continued from an incident at the UN building where an escalator malfunctioned after the couple used it. Trump described the incident as sabotage, expressing concern for their safety and calling for those responsible to be arrested. Body language expert Judi James observed the interaction between the Trumps on Marine One, noting conflicting signals but suggesting Melania’s smiles and laughter hinted at a more amicable exchange.

Reflecting on the day’s events, Judi remarked on Melania’s composed demeanor and Trump’s animated gestures. Trump, in response to the escalator incident, criticized the UN, emphasizing the potential danger they faced due to the malfunction. The UN suggested that the escalator’s safety mechanism may have been triggered by Trump’s videographer traveling backwards on it.

In addition to the escalator mishap, Trump faced technical issues during his speech at the UN, including problems with a teleprompter and audio disruptions. Trump vowed to investigate the incidents, labeling them as a “triple sabotage” and condemning the UN’s handling of the situation. He insisted on preserving security footage related to the escalator incident and involved the Secret Service in the matter.

UN officials clarified that the White House operated the teleprompter during the speech using their own laptops connected to the UN’s system. Regarding the alleged audio problems, the UN explained that the sound system was designed for multilingual translations through earpieces. Trump’s claims and demands for investigation have sparked a contentious dialogue between the White House and the UN.
