US President Donald Trump made headlines globally for his efforts to broker peace in Gaza, with one magazine cover causing controversy. Following his visit to Israel for a hostage release and the recent ceasefire deal, Trump, alongside 20 other world leaders, signed a declaration in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

Time magazine’s edition titled ‘His Triumph’ praised Trump’s peace efforts, but the President criticized the cover image. The photo showed Trump looking serious in a navy suit, white shirt, and red tie, prompting him to express displeasure, particularly about his hair and the angle of the shot.

Despite Trump’s objections to the cover photo, the accompanying article hailed the peace deal as a potential hallmark of his second term and a significant turning point for the Middle East. It emphasized the meticulous efforts made by his administration to secure the ceasefire and quell a longstanding conflict.

Trump, a longtime fan of Time magazine, had previously graced its cover in 1989 and had been named Person of the Year twice. While he values the recognition, he had expressed disappointment in the past for not being selected when he was a presidential candidate, citing the choice of German Chancellor Angela Merkel instead.

Acknowledging the importance of being featured on Time’s cover, Trump had previously stated his admiration for the magazine and the honor it bestowed. Despite his criticism of the cover image, Trump’s administration’s peace efforts in the Middle East were highlighted as a potential historic achievement.
