Team Europe reportedly accumulated a hefty £230,000 bar tab in celebration of their Ryder Cup triumph. Following their victory in New York, the players, support staff, and their families indulged in champagne festivities on the Bethpage Black golf course. The revelry continued with drinks on the bus ride back, where footage captured players with beverages in hand, singing along to tunes.

Shane Lowry humorously hinted at a potential hangover on social media, offering a glimpse into the night’s merriment. The Sun revealed that the group splurged on lavish drinks, including 120 bottles of Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial champagne, 60 bottles of Moët MCIII, and an equal quantity of Moët Rose Champagne, totaling over £116,000. Additionally, expenditures included £18,000 on Belvedere Vodka and more than £22,000 on ten bottles of exclusive Hennessy 250th Anniversary cognac.

During a press conference, players bantered about the strokes gained leader, with Sepp Straka emerging as the unanimous choice. Light-hearted exchanges ensued among team members, with jokes and acknowledgments sprinkled throughout the gathering. The camaraderie peaked when the team playfully taunted American president Donald Trump during the celebrations.

Reflecting on the event, Rory McIlroy addressed the mistreatment faced by players and their families on the course, emphasizing the need for respect and decorum in golf. Notwithstanding the challenges, the European squad remained united, sharing laughter and camaraderie amidst the post-victory revelry. The joyous atmosphere was further amplified with chants and sing-alongs, encapsulating the spirit of triumph and celebration.
