Take That has announced the return of their highly successful Circus tour, 17 years after its original run. The iconic ’90s pop trio, comprising Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald, will bring The Circus Live back to the stage next summer for a series of 11 stadium shows, accompanied by special guests.
The original Circus Live tour took place in 2009, following the release of the group’s album of the same name. It set a record as the fastest-selling tour in history, with over 600,000 tickets snapped up in under five hours.
Expressing their enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, the band stated, “The Circus tour was one of our favorite experiences, and we’ve always talked about doing it again. We can’t wait to bring The Circus Live back next summer and share this spectacle with audiences old and new across the UK and Ireland.”
During a press conference, Mark hinted at potential new elements in the show, mentioning being open to incorporating new songs while maintaining the essence of the original production.
Gary described the tour as a unique experience that transcends Take That itself, offering audiences an immersive journey into another world for a few hours. Howard shared his excitement about reacquainting himself with the unicycle for the upcoming performances.
The Circus Live tour will feature support acts The Script and Belinda Carlisle, with tickets set to go on sale on September 26 at 9:30 am.
